First aid at work requalification: the two-day course and what it costs
Updated
First aid at work requalification is the two-day course a first-aider takes before their three-year certificate runs out. Across 4 UK providers that publish it, it costs a median £220 per person, from £180 to £270, read 28 October 2026.
When to book it
HSE says first aid at work certificates are valid for three years and that the requalification course lasts two days. Book it before the certificate runs out, and HSE strongly recommends a short annual refresher in between, though it is not mandatory.

Choosing a provider
Choosing a competent trainer is the employer's job. HSE's own guide for employers, GEIS3, Selecting a first-aid training provider, sets out what to check before you book.
